COURSE APPLICATION FORM.
The Mission of the School of Holistic Studies is to provide training to enable the therapist in becoming confident and competent in their chosen therapy, to enable them to contribute to the health and the well being of society.
Jillian Edmundson, tutor and assessor of the Foundation Certificate in Crystal Healing, is a qualified teacher (Professional Certificate in Education), BSc Honours in Complementary Medicine and Health Sciences and is a qualified Crystal Therapist.
The Foundation Certificate is intensive and so the student must realise that some home study is required on this course, as well as carrying out case studies (5 clients having 3 treatments each).The student may take as long as they need to complete the workbooks, however, all of the workshops must be attended. Allowances for special circumstances will be considered, but students should make up any lost days on the next running course.
The course includes theory as well as practical sessions.
- The Foundation certificate in Crystal Healing provided by the School of Holistic Studies (SOHS) includes the following topics:

The above curriculum follows the recommended core curriculum provided by The Affiliation of Crystal Healing Organisations (ACHO). To complete the course successfully and be awarded with The Foundation Certificate in Crystal Healing from SOHS, the student must have: attended all the required workshop modules; completed 5 case studies (3 treatments on each client); completed all required workbook modules (home study); have a qualification including Anatomy and Physiology (e.g. a certificate in Body Massage); have provided evidence of a journal.
This course is accredited by The Complementary Medicine Association (CMA). This allows the qualified therapist to practice professionally.
If the qualified therapist wishes to attain a second year diploma accredited by ACHO, the Institute of Crystal and Gem Therapists (ICGT) will accept students from the SOHS to study at their school for their second year, once their work has been verified.
What you will need for the workshop attendance modules:
Workbooks, a text book and information books will be provided by the school. Please dress comfortably on the workshop days as there will be practical sessions where students will work on each other.
You will need a note pad and pen to make any notes.
Crystals are available for practical sessions and can also be bought at the workshops.

Crystal Workshop: Saturday 9th October in Scorton, Preston.Time: 10 a.m. -5.00 p.m.
A day of information and exercises on how to incorporate crystals into your life. Practical exercises to promote self- healing. Exercises to include chakra balancing, cleansing and storing crystals, using a pendulum, how to keep grounded and more.Pprice inlcudes tea, coffee and cake served throughout the day.

Mindfulness Workshop: Saturday October 16th in Scoton, Preston. Time: 10.30- 5.00 p.m. Mindfulness Meditation Day. Learn how to meditate through practical exercises to help your general health and build up resources to deal with stress. Mindfulness meditation can help manage pain and cope with stress through simple exercises. Mindfulness meditation has much evidence to support that geeral health can improve through regular practice. This day will teach you how to practice these simple techniques. Price inlcudes tea, coffee and cakes serves throughout the day.
